The Adirondack Mountains in upstate New York have been on my family’s annual adventure list for some much-needed soul searching and good vibes ever since my dad learned about the area through summer camp as a child. Letting some new people in on our not-so-secret place to adventure, my brother and I brought a few friends from W&J for their first taste of what it meant to experience ADK. Storing everything that we needed for four days in the hulls of two canoes and pushing off from shore, we did nothing but enjoy nature, have some good laughs, and recharge. Although we haven’t made it back to the Adirondacks as a group again, we still have our fingers crossed we can make it happen in the future.
